Plan:

  • Make the body and head, and legs separate, hollow them out, and connect them all together.

  • Add all the details

  • underglaze the detailes

  • use a exploding glaze for the details of the coloring

I am very happy about how it turned out. I think the colors match the drawing perfectly. I think it looks very similar to the kids' drawing, and there is nothing I would do differently.

Plan:

  • Make one cup as an Octopus wrapped around the cup

  • Make a cup with tentacles as handles

  • Make one cup that mimics a sand castle with seaweed and starfish

  • Make one cup that has a shark on it

I decided to make a series of four ocean-themed cups. It has taken me a very long time to get this far, as two of my cups have broken before I got to fire them.
